In his Ak Orda residence in Astana, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev played host to the Chairman of the Kazakhstan Audit Committee. Omarkhan Oksikbayev reported to the President on the results of the work done by the country’s supreme audit institution last year, particularly, on the audit of the effectiveness of the implementation of strategic plans in government agencies, on the implementation of investment projects, as well as on the main problems associated with the execution of the budgetary funds allocated for their implementation. The President also played host to the Kazakh Minister of Interior Affairs, Kalmukhanbet Kassymov. The Minister reported to Nursultan Nazarbayev on the criminal situation in the country, on the measures strengthening the fight against crimes, on the protection of the rights of citizens, improvements in the efficiency of public order security and the development of crime prevention, as well combating extremism, drug trafficking, and illegal migration.
