Due to decrease in number of licensed activity types, control will be lifted from 1.5 thousand licensees
The president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has asked the Kazakhstan Agency on Monopoly Regulation to decrease the number of licences from 6 types with 21 sub-types to 4 types with 5 sub-types from January 31st, 2012, the press service of the agency has reported.
Referring to the Agency on Monopoly Regulation, the Kazinform information agency has announced that due to a cut in the number of licensed types of activities, it is planned to lift control from 1.5 thousand entrepreneurs. Currently the agency maintains the licensing of delivery and distribution of electric and heating energy, exploitation of gas-main pipelines, oil pipelines, oil product pipelines and the railway transportation of passengers. The agency and its territorial bodies are accepting applications on licensing in electronic format.
